# Prates

> Prates learns how you write, then writes for you.

Prates is a writing app for macOS 14 Sonoma or later, made by cmd AS.
It learns your style and views, turns speech into finished text, drafts
replies when you ask, and completes what you start to type.

Speech recognition runs on your Mac. Writing can use a local model, your
cloud account, or an AI tool you already use. Before text leaves the Mac,
Prates names the destination and asks for permission.

The subscription is USD 9.99 per month after seven days of full access,
with no card needed for the trial. One account works on up to three Macs.
